  3. austrian churches have longer preparation ... they have to understand why they want to have the confirmation and not just because their parents force them to, learn more about GOD, the bible and and and. We also meet every Saturday and teach them some bible/life stuff. They are suppose to attend every Saturday if you missed out the half they have to repeat haha! jup jup .. sa inyo is only one day right? only the celebration. it is also because the religion classes here are not the same anymore as before .. more on the ethics and general stuff

  4. ay oo... sa catholic practice kasi dito sa pinas, we normally have the confirmation as early as 13 and it takes 1 month long na weekend seminars about the 7 gifts, about the catholic church, etc. etc.

  5. in one month nakukuha nila yun? haha saamin hindi lol! ..

hmm, oh yes austria is a catholic country, but the students here, the youth, are not really interested in religion, some of them, and religion is not that important anymore here, you can choose between ethics and religion .. when I was still in school we were 13 students but from 3 different blocks or the teachers are not really motivated to teach religious topics =P

  6. kami catholic country, ang mga pilipino dito nagkukumpil lang dahil yun ang norm (kelangan ng confirmation certificate dito bago ka payagan magpakasal or maissuehan ng marriage cert sa simbahan). ang religion classes dito were mostly strictly religious at walang ethics na subject for younger people. ang ironic lang kasi they don't look like they're practicing what they are being taught. sa inyo ba pag sinabing catholic ka e catholic ka talaga (goes for the filipinos in vienna)?

  7. dito din, they'll ask for your confirmation papers before getting married. if you're not you have to attend and have that confirmation.

some are really serious about it, but some are catholics on paper :) ...they just say they are catholic so they have something to answer ... they find it difficult to practice what they hear or are being taught haha! or they don't believe it, or they just don't care ..

  9. some are official not-catholics cause they dont want to pay the tax (though you can talk to the head of the archdio to lessen your tax, they are not that strict, and money shouldnt be a hindrance for practicing a religion) but these people go to church regurarly or some pay the tax because if you resign your religion, yan ba ang tawag dyan?,if you are not an official catholic you are not allowed to get any bless or mass from the priest, church.so some do it to get a normal funeral :p..but for mostly all the filips i think its the money, I am 18 kaya actually I should also pay the tax, but since I am still in school and unemployed I am exempted, sa pinas ba may tax?

  11. dito meron din collection pag misa :P I actually dont know kung saan napapapunta ang mga tax :P I would pay them without asking :p hehe .. dito hindi ..someboday told me, that the priest had to take off is sotano etc and he wasn't allowed to bless the corpse, something like that, hindi ko din masyado alam.. actually kapag hindi ka catolico, hindi ka din pwede maging ninang or ninong kc ano yung sense maging ninang/ninong ka, kapag hindi mo naman priority ang religion?

    ReplyDelete
