The Shack - W. Paul Young

Hello Bloggers!

As you all know one of my new years resolution is to finish a book per month. So my January book was "The Shack" by William Paul Young. I know I am a bit late with finishing it, but hey I started only two weeks ago or so! Anyway, this morning 2 am I finished the book. I am really impressed with the book - whether for real or reel. The choice of words, the phrases - quotable quotes. Actually it's a perfect timing. On the same time I am really hooked with the Filipino teleserye "May Bukas pa" which is about to end in two days. Both are based on one topic - believing in and trusting GOD.

In the novel it's all about understanding the works of GOD, Jesus and the holy spirit, forgiveness, relationships and acceptance. I don't want to spoil you! It's worth reading! =) Some quotable quotes:

'Don't ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes they are the best words the heart can speak'

'Forgiveness does not establish relationship'

'Forgiveness in no way requires that you trust the one you forgive'

'Jesus: It is your desperate attempt to get some control over something you can't. It is impossible for you to take power over the future because it isn't even real, nor will it ever be real. You try and play God, imagining the evil that you fear becoming reality, and then you try and make plans and contingencies to avoid what you fear.'

'Sarayu: Mack, if anything matters than everything matters. Because you are important, everything you do is important. Every time you forgive, the universe changes; every time you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes; with every kindness and service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will ever be the same again'
'Papa: I don't need to punish people for sin. Sin is its own punishmient, devouring you from the inside. It's not my purpose to punish it; it's my joy to cure it.'

These quotes touched my heart. I don't know why, but with these "understanding" it must be easier to forgive people. So for the future, I hope I will remember this again =)

madjlove! =)

Hello world I am back

Hello Blogspot World, I am back. I don't know exactly if anyone follows my blog. But I missed writing in here. So I thought why not come back and let your mind talk. Here I am, sitting in my room listening to Justin Bieber and typing. As I've checked my last post was January 2012. That's a loooooong time. In this one year and almost a half SO MANY things happened. Yet everytime when friends ask me what I have been up to, I tell them "nothing special". Maybe because it is not that interesting to update them. Wait let me think: Last year I started with Basketball, then joined the Vienna Avengers, a group of ladies who didn't know each other AT ALL but managed to win the Filipino Basketball in Wien Championship. A S E V E N - zero. I am not bragging, but I also received individual trophies. Three officials and one inofficial. MVP 2013! :-) Dreams do come true. I never - in my wildest imaginations - thought of becoming the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. Actually Bask...

Charmaine Garcia - My "inaanak sa kumpil"

Today, April 25 2009 I have a new responsibility. As I take some things, if not everything very serious (well I have a wacky side too) I am now responsible for someONE. When I was in the church I actually (honestly) didn't realize that I am going to be a Ninang of somone who isn't actually related to me. I already have two inaanaks (Godchilds) but my very first Godchild is actually my cousin - first degree - and the second one, my pamangkin sa pinsan :-) I'm glad that the parents picked me .. but now it's different, because Charmaine has chosen me to be her Ninang. Maybe because I am cool and chill haha, kidding. I don't know why, but she has her own reasons why she picked me to be her Ninang. (I really think because I am cool and chill ) Kaya, it actually didn't sink in when we celebrated her confirmation or when she received her confirmation and kumpareng (haha) Kuya Allen and I were behind her, guiding her to the front. Since I was a bit stressed with the c...
