Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you all had a joyful one with your loved ones!
My Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was pretty okay. This year was totally different to last year. This time my mom had nightshift and I decided I'll be celebrating it with my cousin's family. My brother and father didn't want to join us since my brother had work the next day and my father stayed with Kuya at home.
December 24, 2009 was a pretty hectic day for all of us, well for my mom and me. The weather was perfect, well actually I was a bit sad that again I wasn't able to have a white Christmas, the sun was shining and I was sweating in my jacket.
I decided to get some Christmas presents for 4 kids. My 2 cousins, my kinakapatid and her brother. I knew all along what to get for my cousins, because I knew that my cousins will get a new iPod Nano 5G and it's not bad to have a silicon case - so I got them one. For the other two kids, I got a pillow and a pretty cool cap. I actually said that I want to get my parents a gift - oh well, things I didn't except to happen, happened - so actually I am kinda broke :)) Since I am working - I am kinda losing the spirit of Christmas, because there are certain things I can afford everytime - so the "I'll wish that from my parents for christmas" is losing it's meaning. I'd rather celebrate Christmas in the Philippines - I don't know why, maybe because mostly all of my cousins are less fortunate when it comes to material things. But noone can beat their family gatherings. That's what I miss! I can afford anything, well actually not, I can't afford, I can't be with them at times like these. *sigh*
Anyway out of nowhere I wanted to have something new to wear for christmas. After walking the Mariahilferstrasse up and down, I ended up buying clothes in H&M - haha. (well the pants I bought didn't fit to me, freaks - it wasn't the size I wanted)
And then my mom and I went home and I got ready for church. My brother arrived and my father said we will commute - I super dislike to go to church by train and bus. It takes forever for me and yeah, I feel uncomfy. But hey it's christmas eve so I decided not to make tantrums ^^ I told myself - listen to music, go on to twitter and you'll survive the travel. Well to my surprise my father said we'll take the car - Thanks GOD. We arrived at the church and there were so many people already, I met ate Astrid who is back from her Philippines Vacation and everyone I saw I greeted a "Merry Christmas". My usual job, go directly to the sacristy and check if there are enough sacristants .. Yep, there were two - both young ones, not yet masters. I also found out that the Kids Choir are going to sing - so I was panicking, kinda! The masters in serving are members of the choir. So I had to decide if I should accompany the two and be a sacristan too or not. I honestly didn't want to do it, because I knew there were others who can do it. I am only the emergency sacristan. But thankfully Lea said "Ich werde eh ministrieren, wir müssen nur kurz am Anfang singen" [I am going to be a sacristan, we just need to sing at the beginning] So I got 6 other sacristans *phew*. There were some mistakes they did and good I was sitting in the front row and was able to tell them "Heyy the water, heey the bell" haha! .. but only by the look of my face, they knew what they needed to do! .. I am very proud of them :]
My brother told me that we got a gift from someone, but I didnt pay much attention to it because I thought it was from his Ninang - to my surprise it was from someone I didn't expect to get something - and there goes the saying: "if you give you give, don't expect something back" I was really surprised, so surprised that I thanked Selyn and Selvin for the gift a million times :-) .. When the mass was ended I headed out and Tito Odie - Selyns father asked me where my mom was, and when I told him that my mom was at work he said "Hija wait lang wait" and then he handed me a paperbag full of gifts for my mom! .. What a nice family :-)
Anyway - after mass I went with my cousins to their place, ate dinner and sang a happy birthday to Jesus *gg* and opened the presents :)) I got something from my cousin and got a GC from my uncle! Thanks Tito =) - After the great dinner I played the WII - actually I worked out and until now my body hurts! .. Urgh! But I want to play that game too! I want to have too! It's fun and effective!

Weather: Rain Rain Rain
I transferred some songs to the ipods of my cousins and went to bed really late - 3 am. .. Well my bad, I woke up at 9.30 am. for whatever reason. I was really tired that after breakfast and after a long chitchat with my tita, I went back to bed and slept until 3pm. My cousin woke me up and told me that I have to get ready because we are going home, going to my place! Haha, I was soo lazy - I brushed my teeth got my things and left the building :)) They live outside Vienna, but we only need one trainride to come to my place. (I am living in Vienna, in the city) I was so hungry that I begged my tita to treat us at McDonalds, though I knew deep inside that we're going to have dinner at home anyway. When we arrived home, after a few minutes my other tita - actually my Ninang - arrived and I was surprised *gg* I didn't know that she'll join us. Unfortunately my brother wasn't home, he was at work, we weren't complete.
December 26, 2009 A kinakapatid of mine was celebrating his 16th birthday so we were invited to come to their place for dinner. Well that was our first family day, we 4 together. I loved the food! It was really really really delicious! ..
December 27, 2009 I'll keep it short. I was assigned to do the readings - I had to read out the First Reading at church. We went to church and I found out that the Kids Choir are also assigned to sing! Oh boy, noone was there to be a sacristan. So I had to do it! .. My bad, I had to read the readings and be a sacristan. The other one who was a sacristan didn't want to do it on his own. We are the so-called emergency altar servants. Haha! It was fun, but weird at the same time. Wearing that "sotana" and reading the lecture was like a female pastor =P ... Anyway, I had no choice! >.<" But it's amazing that without talking to my partner who is going to do what, we mastered it. We knew only by looking in the eyes who will do what :) Great Sunday-Yearender. I do EVERYTHING for HIM.
