Sometimes it's good to reward yourself with something, which will remind you someday of your hardwork you've been through. I am actually pretty new in the world of earning my own money, working hard, sacrificing my lazy saturdays for work. But I have to say that I enjoy it, I love [even though sometimes I think, what the heck am I doing here] what I am doing. And that's a good start. I am the kind of person who is not into shifting likes like I change clothes. If I really want to do something I seldom think of the advantages I am going to have. As long as I enjoy what I am doing I'm happy. To earn something and have good workmates is the cherry on top.
It's one step closer to independence, but I still have a lot of steps to make to be fully independent, one step at a time =) .. there are certain things I want to have, but it is about time to be more independent than before. Like start saving money for the future, things I want - I pay. There are days I still have to ask my mom for money, but only if I really need it. I have to put a lot of sacrifices ;-). Anyway this year has been the most unexpected year so far. This year I started working at orange - as sales representant/customer care. And then I was able to work the whole august in the store as a trainee. It was fun, it was my first time to work at all and I experienced a lot.
The first thing I bought with my salary was my long-awaited-iPod Touch. (August 25, 2009) I've been dreaming to get one since the first generation came out, but I wasn't sure if I should get it since it's so expensive.

The second catch was my ticket to the Philippines. (September 23 - October 10, 2009) My brother, who was a paramedic for 9 months [he is obliged to serve the country either as a soldier boy or a paramedic] and I decided to take a vacation and fly to the Philippines. In previous posts, I have already written about it and the whole pocket money was also mine, I think. I bought pretty much in the Philippines, it was short but the important thing is that we enjoyed ourselves.
I thought after that spontaneous trip I'll be done with my shopping moments, though I had a Nintendo Wii in my mind, since last year but it never pushed through.
The third (November 17, 2009) and super spontaneous reward was the BlackBerry 8520. When I got the iPod Touch last august my workmates told me that I've done a big mistake, they told me that I should've gotten an iPhone instead. Well they were wrong, I guess I would love the iPhone but I am not really fond of the touchscreen. So why did I exactly get a Blackberry, when I was already an owner of a Nokia E71? [The E71 has been out of the best cellphones I ever got, I love it to the fullest ♥]

My reason is [haha] since I am working for a cellphone network company and I NEVER have used a BlackBerry before, it is simply not enough to read instructions from the internet or watch clips explaining how to use a BlackBerry. So I decided to get a new plan and a BlackBerry and yes I was curious why all the celebrities in the Philippines were using one. I am impressed with the functions of a BlackBerry though for people like my mom I'd rather advise an E71 hehe. Anyways when I have been thinking about if my reason is valid I have come to an answer, YES it's valid. And now to the psychological part of the blog ;P
I find it funny how I manage to compare everything with love. At this point in my life, I don't have the feeling that I need a lovelife - a commitment, a special someone right now. Well I can't tell because I haven't experienced it yet. I can't say something is missing in my life, or I miss something without having experienced it once. And lately I've been playing a loveguru for some, well actually I always have been a loveguru for some people and that's the same case like the BlackBerry. I never have used a BlackBerry before but I have to face every saturday some BlackBerry problems. To my surprise I am able to answer some problems, it takes more time though because I have to "locate" myself first with the BlackBerry functions. Reason enough why I got a new cellphone. I don't mind being a loveguru, I can be a love"expert" if you like but where do I get the advices from, how can I answer their questions when I myself is unexperienced?
Maybe it's talent, maybe I am being prepared and someday being reminded to follow my own advices.. maybe, maybe not. I find it amusing though =)
What if lovelife is like a BlackBerry that after experiencing some things it depends on you if you want to keep it or you are very disappointed with it that you'll leave it untouched at home?
The fourth and MAYBE the last items I bought for 2009 - as for giving myself expensive gifts xD ) were F I N A L L Y the Nintendo Wii (November 30, 2009) and some games. I think that will be my lifetime investment. I fell inlove with the Wii, that I am super extra careful with it. I love my new gadgets.
I promised to myself that starting 2010 I'll be more into saving my money and prepare for the future as I know that anything can happen in a blink of an eye. But I am a positive person, that's why I think I'll be on a high everytime :-)
And I am saving my money too for other dreams I want to reach next year =) .. Maybe I'll have my New Years Resolution - Things to do in year 2010 - but I'm scared to write it down, maybe I fail . . . let's see how motivated I'll be with creating a bucket list.
