What is actually important in life? Is it important to start collecting your college degrees, the amount of your credit cards, the cellphones you own, be always update with the newest tech-gadgets or is it something that you already have but need to work on?

Charles R. Swindoll once said:
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past..we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our A T T I T U D E S .."
After reading this short passage on thinkexist I can only agree on what Mr. Swindoll said. Attitude is indeed one of the .. if not the most important THING in the world we own. The moment you stepped on to this world you were born with an attitude. It doesn't mean though that you have a good attitude. Good attitude or bad attitude is something that can be changed from time to time. It doesn't mean when you have been a bad influence on other people before that you cannot change that certain "fact". People judge and always will judge you and they always say "this person was this and that before, don't even befriend him" or the oh-so famous saying "once a player, always a player" ... Sometimes it's true, BUT it's because the person didn't intend to change forever. He had an attempt to change, maybe he was a changed person for awhile. Sometimes though you are given some challenges from above, you'll be tried and tested and if you surpass that challenge than you can proudly say "I am a changed person". If you fail, well sorry to say you belong in the category "once a player always a player". It's never too late to be a changed someone, everyone can come out from the darkest and deepest hole. You need the correct attitude, you need to know how to handle the situation, how to act correctly. Change doesn't grow on trees, neither does the attitude. To be perceived as someone with a good attitude is something you have to work on your whole life through and maintain this characteristic. There are certain things that cannot be avoided or changed because it already happened or you can't rule other people's tongues and minds. But you can change the YOU - and someone will accept you the way who you are, with your past, with your mistakes. It's only important how you (re)act on certain things, accept your surroundings and live your future.
If you have the attitude to make the world a better place, to help your family and friends, keep your feet on the ground despite all the good things happening in your life, lessen judging other people who seem to be on a "lower" level than you - we are all the same - I will promise you someday someone will come and look up to you and tell you "Hey, thanks for inspiring me, you're my idol" then I can assure you that you have a great attitude.

So how's your attitude, d'you need to work on it? =)

Hello world I am back

Hello Blogspot World, I am back. I don't know exactly if anyone follows my blog. But I missed writing in here. So I thought why not come back and let your mind talk. Here I am, sitting in my room listening to Justin Bieber and typing. As I've checked my last post was January 2012. That's a loooooong time. In this one year and almost a half SO MANY things happened. Yet everytime when friends ask me what I have been up to, I tell them "nothing special". Maybe because it is not that interesting to update them. Wait let me think: Last year I started with Basketball, then joined the Vienna Avengers, a group of ladies who didn't know each other AT ALL but managed to win the Filipino Basketball in Wien Championship. A S E V E N - zero. I am not bragging, but I also received individual trophies. Three officials and one inofficial. MVP 2013! :-) Dreams do come true. I never - in my wildest imaginations - thought of becoming the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. Actually Bask...

Charmaine Garcia - My "inaanak sa kumpil"

Today, April 25 2009 I have a new responsibility. As I take some things, if not everything very serious (well I have a wacky side too) I am now responsible for someONE. When I was in the church I actually (honestly) didn't realize that I am going to be a Ninang of somone who isn't actually related to me. I already have two inaanaks (Godchilds) but my very first Godchild is actually my cousin - first degree - and the second one, my pamangkin sa pinsan :-) I'm glad that the parents picked me .. but now it's different, because Charmaine has chosen me to be her Ninang. Maybe because I am cool and chill haha, kidding. I don't know why, but she has her own reasons why she picked me to be her Ninang. (I really think because I am cool and chill ) Kaya, it actually didn't sink in when we celebrated her confirmation or when she received her confirmation and kumpareng (haha) Kuya Allen and I were behind her, guiding her to the front. Since I was a bit stressed with the c...
